The Canvas Company
The Canvas Company is dedicated to providing the ultimate in reproduction artwork to the design industry. Canvas Company owners Carl Hamilton and Nancy Keene recently presented a gift to Rudy Guiliani—a piece by artist Jeaneen Barnhart.
Contemporary works from current artists are printed on canvas using giclee technology, creating the look of original artwork on canvas at a fraction of the cost.
The word giclée is French for spray or spurt. It’s actually a high-tech ink jet process that sprays millions of ink droplets per second onto the canvas … as many as 20 billion droplets on a finished piece. The result is extremely fine detail, with no visible dot pattern. Very little, if any, of the artist’s original message is lost in the interpretation. The inks are lightfast with a 70 year guarantee not to fade under normal conditions.

The giclée process is quickly becoming the new standard in the art industry, and it’s widely applauded by major museums, galleries, and publishers for its quality and veracity. But most important, giclée has been embraced by the artists as a way to reach a larger audience, without sacrificing the subtlety of their vision.

IT’S NOT OUR INTENT TO DISCOURAGE THE PURCHASE OF ORIGINAL ART. However, a collection of quality originals from fine artists would be quite costly. A giclée offers an affordable addition to your collection, letting you purchase more pieces, and change the art you display more frequently.
Images are available in multiple size options—with an extensive selection of large-sized and multi-piece works.
The gallery wrap is clean, contemporary, economical, and ready to hang. The canvas wraps around a solid poplar frame that is 1.25 inches thick, exposing the artwork on all sides.
With the gallery wrap, framing is optional. If framing is desired, clean and simple works best with this type of art. Framing options include Studio framing and Museum framing.
Studio framing is the way many artists frame their own work. We use solid maple to make a thin wrap that is flush around the image. This allows the entire image to be seen and provides a simple finish while completing the original canvas look. Our studio framing is available in a matte black and a natural finish.

Museum, or "floater," frames are the perfect compliment to our gallery wrapped canvasses. This allows the image to "breathe," showing all edges of the artwork. These solid wood, hand-crafted frames are 2" wide and come in natural, black, and cherry.
